A MacBook screen whose notch opens into the Bangs panel

One notch

Four jobs. One place.

It opens to what you need, then folds away.

A MacBook screen whose notch opens into the Bangs panel
  1. 01Volume & brightness

Nothing in the middle of your screen.

Press a key. A slim meter slides out of the notch, then gets out of the way.

    • Mute is unmistakable
    • Never interrupts typing
    • One screen or all
  2. 02Clipboard

Copied it an hour ago? Still here.

⇧⌘V brings back text, links and images. Return pastes it right where you were.

    • Search
    • Pin
    • Edit before pasting
  3. 03File shelf

Set files down. Pick them up anywhere.

Drop files on the notch, drag them out when you need them. Originals never move.

    • Several at once
    • 10-second undo on Clear
  4. 04Music

Skip a song without leaving your work.

While Spotify plays, point at the notch: cover, controls and progress appear.

What you copy stays yours.

  • On this Mac only.

No account. No cloud. No server.

  • Off until you say so.

Nothing is recorded until you press Start recording. Pause or exclude apps any time.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which Macs does Bangs run on?

macOS 15.4 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

Why does it ask for Accessibility access?

For two things only: taking over the volume and brightness keys, and pasting back into the window you came from. Without it, items are copied and you paste them yourself.

Where is my clipboard history kept?

In your Library folder on this Mac. Never synced or uploaded. It isn’t additionally encrypted.

Does brightness work on external displays?

No. Brightness controls the built-in display only.

Which music apps work?

Spotify. Album covers load from the internet.

When can I download it?

Look up. It’s all there.
